I met Ágnes Bogár graphic designer accidentally in an exhibition this autumn, this is where I’ve first seen her great work called Budapest Pattern in real life.
The unique, handmade book called Budapest Pattern designed by Ágnes Bogár has been created as a diploma project in 2014 at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. The designer created art routes for exploring Budapest’s architectural heritage, focusing on the most exceptional monuments, built at the turn of the 19th/20th centuries. What the buildings have in common is rich decor and artistic details. The diploma project has been awarded at the Hungarian Design Award’s student category in 2015.
The book has not been published yet, still I hope that some day it will reach the bookstore shelves, adding an exceptionally beautiful and valuable piece to the existing Budapest tourist guide range. Meanwhile Ágnes created a collection of postcards and art prints of the buildings featured in the book.
After meeting Ágnes for the first time I bought the first few pieces of her products for Stilshop. Since we sold and restocked them many times, we finally uploaded them to our webshop too so the beautiful prints of our much beloved Budapest buildings are available from now online aswell! Enjoy!
